Therefore, I'm spending as much time cuddled up in bed with my laptop and kitties as I possibly can.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
   I'm the worst at wrapping gifts. I swear and cry and get so drunk I end up wrapping my cats in their litter box. I'm a bagger all the way.


2. Real tree or artificial?
   We always had an artificial tree because of my dad's allergies. We tried out a real tree after he moved out, and that's how we discovered my allergies. So, it's back to the artificial variety. My mom jokes that she wants a tabletop tree. I told her as long as an iPhone can fit under it, I'm agreeable.


3. When do you put up the tree?
   Usually the weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We always say we're going to do it the Friday after Thanksgiving, and then we sleep until noon and decide it's too much of a hassle.


4. When do you take the tree down?
   As soon as the cats get too comfortable, climbing, sleeping and fighting in it. The longest its made it is December 30th, lol.


5. Do you like egg nog?
   No. I love egg nog. I buy it regularly as soon as it's made available on the shelves. Hood's vanilla egg nog is my favorite. I'm drinking some right now. Mmmm.


6. Favorite gift received as a child?
   I don't think any Christmas ever will compare to the year of Rainbow Brite. My parents bought me so much RB merch that to this day I can't remember everything I was given.


7. Hardest person to buy for?
   The only difficulty I have is buying for co-workers. I don't want to give them something too impersonal, but it's hard not to when you only know certain aspects of their character.


8. Easiest person to buy for?
   Myself. And my mommy. I could walk into Home Depot, blindfolded, and pick something random from each aisle, and she'd be thrilled. LOL.


9. Do you have a nativity scene?
   We have a ceramic set that my dad's mother made years and years ago. We haven't put it out since Milo came into our lives. She dive-bombed the baby Jesus and Mama Bee was all, "HALE NO," and boxed it away for eternity.


10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
    Definitely mail. Anyone who send ecards for any reason is an obnoxious, uncreative tool.


11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
    I can honestly say I've never received anything particularly awful. Sure, I didn't really enjoy getting clothes as a kid, but I was never truly mortified by any of my presents.


12. Favorite Christmas movie?
    The Christmas Toy and A Muppet Family Christmas. My brother and I watched them until the VHS tape wore out. I recently found a copy of The Christmas Toy at a yard sale. Yay!


13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
    It's not something I usually schedule. When I have spare cash to put toward a gift, I will. I actually ordered my first gift last week.


14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
    I regifted a gift card last year. I only need so many Dunkin Donuts cards, lol.


15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
    Pie! Lots and lots of pie. And cookies. And candy!


16. Favorite Christmas song?
    "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by Judy Garland. I like most versions of the song, but I hate that they almost never include the line "One day soon we all will be together if the fates allow. Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow." It's one of my favorite lyrics EVER. I also really love "Christmas Canon" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra.


17. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
    Christmas has always been at our house. I don't know why that is, but I love that I can be lazy and wait for the family to come to us.


18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
    Donner, Dancer, Comet, Cupid, Blitzen, Dasher, Boris, Milo and Rudolph.


19. Angel on the tree top or a star?
    We have a massive gift bow. We like making our tree look like a big present.


20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
    Morning. We're total traditionalists in that manner. One year, my parents let us open up one gift before we left for midnight mass. They were new winter coats for us to wear to church!


21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
    I'm not gonna lie. I kind of hate spending my money on other people, lol. I love making my friends and family happy, but shit ain't cheap!


22. Favorite ornament theme or color?
    Our ornaments are without a theme, and I like it that way. They all have their own meaning, and that makes our tree all the more special.


23. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
    If it's on the table, it's my favorite! If I had to choose, I'd have to go the mashed potatoes. I. Love. Mashed potatoes.


24. What do you want for Christmas this year?
    An iPhone. That's really all I want.
