This is my favorite application question ever:

1. This position is 2 miles from your home address. Are you willing to travel this distance to work?

No. No, I'm not. If I have to back out of my driveway to get there, it is too damn far.

Isn't it? I'd like to meet the guy or gal who genuinely would not like to travel that far.

Seriously. You have to wonder if the company you're applying to has had issues with it before though. Why else would they ask it? If someone said "2 miles is way too far" I'd laugh in their face!

It's an online application through snagajob.com. It's at the beginning of every application, but it still makes me lol.

Right? "This position is located past areas of unfriendly fire. Are you willing to travel this terrain?"

O.O

Isn't it fantastic? Home Depot asks the hard-hitting questions. Totally the Barbara Walters of job applications.

Me too, so I can laugh at them while I'm passing by on my 3-mile jog.

Your mood theme made me read that with Colbert's voice in my head, which made it even funnier. :D
