What Lies Ahead

Spoiler Alert! I have it on good authority that both Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) and Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) will be back next season. I'm also pretty sure Greg Grunberg (Matt will be back), but not sure about DL (Leonard Roberts). I have a sneaking suspicion Linderman's blood or heart may heal him, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

Spoiler Alert Part Deux! I'm told next season will begin four months into the future and two of the main characters will be in deep despair--one having completely lost his memory (bring on the Bourne Identity storyline!) and the other having developed a major drinking problem. Told ya Sylar wasn't this show's only demon!

I'm thinking either Peter or Nathan will suffer memory loss due to one of their skulls breaking their fall from the tippity top of the atmosphere. I'm leaning towards Peter though because Nathan can make a smooth landing with the whole flying thing, right? (Also, can he please land in nothing but his pajama bottoms again?)

As for the drinking problem, it's gotta be Parkman. It's the only way to keep his character interesting.

A lot of folks at TWoP are saying that it would have been hard for him to access another power while attempting not to explode. They're all a bunch of comic book nerds too so I'm inclined to believe them, lol.

Peter's powers are pretty closely linked with his emotions. He was so overloaded and overwhelmed by Ted's power and what was going on that he couldn't control it. He even said to Nathan, "I took his power, Nathan. I can't control it. I can't do anything."

It's basically the same reason why Hiro couldn't control his last time travel, when Sylar sent him flying. He was so overwhelmed and wanted to just get out of there that he time traveled to feudal Japan.

Honestly, I had a bunch of problems with the finale, but when that happens, I read the threads over at TWoP, and reading all of their theories and feelings on the episode, and reading about something that I maybe didn't pick up on, has helped me resolve alot of the issues I had with the episode (i.e. Peter's lack of flying - I was pissed about that until someone pointed out how overwhelemd he was and what he said to Nathan) to the point that I REALLY enjoyed it.
