themightybeeI've been trying to make an Office post all day but my brain keeps farting. Third time's the charm?
I seriously love the episodes that are funny in an "Oh my fuck!" sort of way. Nothing makes me laugh more than when the traumatic realities of life are exposed and cranked to 11.
Jim, Pam and Jim/Pam
I kind of actually enjoyed these two tonight. There was no real in-your-face moment of "Look at us, we're totally a couple now! See? Are you looking? LOOK GODDAMNIT." Also, Jim being completely willing to abandon Pam at Michael's house? Epic, EPIC win. Those crazy kids are forever. ♥
If I had been playing the Jim!Face drinking game, I'd have been drunk before the opening credits and Jan by the end of the show. The same goes for Pam and those forced smiles of hers. Thank jeebus for Serenity by Jan; otherwise, everyone would have been able to smell her fear.
Also, can I just say that Pam/Jenna looked super adorable? I know a lot of people miss the cardigans and barrettes of Original Recipe Pam, but I am fully on board with Beesly 2.0. She makes me smile.
Andy, Angela and Andy/Angela
Andy taking off his jacket to reveal a sweater already tied jauntily around his shoulders? Awesome. I bet he was as good a mannequin stylist as he was a folder at Abercrombie & Fitch.
Angela was extra bitchy and I loved it. I especially liked her as Jan's tag team partner against Michael's former lover, Pam.
Andy is such an adorably oblivious romantic, and his trying to please his atypical girlfriend through his conventional methods of courtship further proves that he and Angela are wrong wrong wrong for each other. Also, Angela really hates Andy's car. What's she got against fuel efficiency?
Also, Andy harmonizing with The Hunted made me LOL until it hurt.
Dwight and Dwight's babysitter
He brought his own wine glasses, turkey legs, beet salad and his former babysitter. He also brought his A-game because I thought his new 'do made him extra foxy. Oh, go ahead and hate! What we have is carnal and that's all you need to know. ;)
Michael, Jan and Michael/Jan
There's dysfunction and then there's dysfunction's rarely visited seedy underbelly. Below that, you'll find Michael and Jan. I've always been indifferent towards this pairing (and Jan in general), but now I offically hate it so much I want to punch a hole in it. I can admit that Michael is kind of a douchebag and probably has loads and loads (and loads) of negative karma coming his way, but unless he kicks babies in his downtime, there's nothing he's done to deserve the psycho beast that is Jan. She makes him sleep on a bench at the foot of the bed! My need to snuggle Michael like a baby koala was stifling.
Random things I loved:
- Cop: "Not now, Dwight."
- whispered bathroom talking heads
- hand chairs
- Oakey. Afterbirth.
- Hunter's song totally being about Jan. She deflowered him? O.o
- Angela's ginormous purse
- Michael and Dwight being the true OTP of The Office
