paddington bear heads for hollywood

According to Yahoo!News:

Paddington Bear, a teddy in a duffle coat who loves marmalade sandwiches and has impeccable manners, is the latest character from a children's book to head for Hollywood aiming at movie stardom.

Dear Hollywood - Don't screw the pooch on this, a-wipes! Paddington Bear was my childhood literary hero. (He was part of a trifecta of illustrated idols, along with Lyle Lyle the Crocodile and Madeline.) I'm cringing at the "live-action family comedy" description. A CGI'd Paddington makes me want to cry. I'm sad that two-dimensional animation is now seemingly defunct. Thanks a lot, Toy Story! (Kidding. I loves me some Toy Story.)

I think Paddington himself was claymation, but the other characters were two-dimensional. It was a confection of multimedia!

Hey, do you know what's up with thehelms.org? It hasn't been working for the past few days. *sobs*

Oh no!!! That's where I get all my Ed pics from! Oh, I really, really hope it's just down for maintenance reasons and that it'll be back up soon. I'm not sure, but I think [livejournal.com profile] sporkythespaz runs that site, so s/he might have some info about it.
